While Southern California got hit with intermittent rain all weekend, Big Bear received 7 inches of fresh, majestic snow.

Chain control is in effect for all mountain roads.

Clear skies and cool temperatures are expected this week with highs in the 30s and 40s during the day.

With the snow and cold weather, many Big Bear restaurants moved operations indoors yesterday.

Big Bear’s two ski resorts, Bear Mountain and Snow Summit, will begin selling lift tickets November 16th.  Opening date will be determined based on snowfall.

Operations at BBMR this winter will differ from previous seasons due to COVID..

All guests must have a valid lift ticket, season pass, or reservation to receive gated entry access to the Bear Mountain or Snow Summit base areas this winter.
