On June 6, 2020, Paddle For Peace, consisting of members of the San Diego surf community, got together at Tourmaline Beach to paddle out and raise awareness about social injustices.

This Saturday, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, it’s about breast cancer. Paddle for Peace is transforming into PADDLE FOR PINK 🎀.

“It’s a tough battle to fight but QUEENS, you are NOT alone” Paddle for Peace posted on IG. “We’ll gather in memory of the women who have lost the fight, we’ll celebrate with those who won, and we’ll fight with and for all of the women around the world who are continuing to fight the battle now.”

Happening at 9 a.m. at Tourmaline Beach in North Pacific Beach, PADDLE FOR PINK 🎀 is simultaneously raising money for Susan G. Komen Foundation. Each $10 donation will enter you in a raffle. More here.

“We want to help Susan G. Komen save lives and end breast cancer forever. We are taking our first step towards a world without breast cancer by raising funds to stop this disease that affects 1 in 8 women during their lifetime” the donation page reads.”We want to make an impact in the fight against breast cancer in a different way.”
