Prolific San Diego musician Drew Andrews has contracted coronavirus.
Best known for his involvement in the orchestral-electronic project, The Album Leaf, he posted on Facebook “for all of you who’ve been doubting this whole thing, time’s up. Now you know somebody personally who is positive.”
Under full home quarantine in San Diego, Andrews continued “I’m doing best as can be, even though a little scary, and will be resting and share more later, and answer as many questions as people have, I’d like to share and help everybody.”
The United States now has the leading number of confirmed coronavirus cases. In San Diego, there are 488 positive cases. Nick Yphantides, San Diego County’s chief medical officer, announced at a press conference yesterday that of these cases, 63% are individuals aged 18-49 years old.
Brave enough to share his experience, Drew closed with these important words: “Stay home. Be alone.”
*Since his initial post, Andrews updated Facebook with the below post. Get well, Drew. We love YEW!
