Chris Cantore Exits KFMB with Meryl Klemow

After months of speculation, veteran SAN DIEGO morning radio personality CHRIS CANTORE has officially exited Adult Hits-Rock KFMB-FM (100.7 San Diego.)  CANTORE, who started his career at 100.7 in 1994, returned to the station in AUGUST 2018 as interim morning show host.  Newcomer MERYL KLEMOW joined CHRIS CANTORE in JANUARY 2019 to form ‘The Cantore Show.” KLEMOW was also dismissed.

CANTORE told YEW he is looking forward to the next chapter and thankful for the experience. “While it didn’t play out the way any of us anticipated, I am super proud of what we accomplished in such a short amount of time.”  He continued, “I will miss our connection to the listeners the most and hope to keep some of us together online.”

While figuring out what’s next, CHRIS & MERYL have launched ‘The Cantore Show” on Patreon, a membership platform that helps creators earn revenue.  Additionally, CANTORE will continue posting original content to Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube while “looking for a real job.”  MERYL will continue her career in stand-up comedy and comedy writing.

MERYL told YEW “I really appreciated my time, how wonderful the listeners and our team were, and I look forward to everyone connecting with us on our new platform!
