Starting today, electric scooters are banned from San Diego boardwalks.
In December, the City of San Diego voted to prohibit the use of motorized devices along Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla Shores and Mission Bay boardwalks.

Despite 140 signs notifying people of the ban, a 30 day grace period remains in effect before authorities begin issuing citations.
