Surf For CF San Diego

Join the Surf For Cystic Fibrosis Foundation San Diego crew for the 4th Annual Surf for CF at La Jolla Shores, Sunday, September 8, 2019.  This two-part event features morning Surf Diva Surf School lessons with CF heroes (children and adults with cystic fibrosis,) followed by an open-registration team style surf contest on foamies.

Also, back again this year, the super fun Surf for CF pre-party at the iconic Bird’s Surf Shed (Morena Blvd) on Saturday, September 7th.  Emceed by YEW’s Chris Cantore, mix and mingle while taking part in a silent auction and enjoying mouth-watering tacos and a hosted beer and wine bar.  Surfers, family members, friends and sponsors will celebrate the accolades of all their generosity and fundraising efforts.

Surf for CF

There are many positive aspects of the ocean and surfing lifestyle – mental, emotional and physical – for which people living with cystic fibrosis can benefit.  For example, the foundation claims inhaling salt water re-hydrates the lining of the lungs and loosens the thick mucus that builds up, thus reducing recurrent infections threatening those living with CF.
