Wonderfront Lineup Is Here


Wonderfront, a music and arts festival “where the city meets the sea,” announced its first round of artists this week.  Scheduled for November 22-24, 2019, the inaugural event will feature more than 70 musical acts on 7+ different stages, from South Embarcadero to Broadway Pier.

The first round of eclectic artists, announced with the help of partners Tony Hawk and Trevor Hoffman, include Slightly Stoopid, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, MGMT, Miguel, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Bob Moses, Pepper, Tyga, English Beat, Vince Staples, Walk the Moon, Phantogram, Tyga, Lil Dicky, X Ambassadors, Michael Franti & Spearhead, X, Pennywise, and The Vandals.

On the Talking Story podcast, founder Ernie Hahn said “we’ve locked down the best festival site in the world and plan to deliver an incredible music festival experience unlike any other.” Speaking of, after a ten-plus year hiatus, pro skater / rad dad Tony Hawk will be resurrecting his Boom-Boom Huckjam format, combining choreographed skating with live music.

“I’m proud to be involved with Wonderfront, and it’s been a blast helping handpick the legendary punk bands for our stage.” Tony Hawk told YEW!

Tickets, on sale Friday, June 14 at 10 a.m., start at $209 for a three-day pass.  According to organizers, more artists will be announced later this summer.
