Mercado del Barrio, the mixed-use center in the heart of Barrio Logan (next to Chicano Park Skatepark,) is now home to Attitude Brewing Company.
With a 22-tap tasting room, Attitude Brewing Company’s 4,500 square foot space showcases a variety of craft beers brewed on-site that embody different “Attitudes”, including Famous, a Mexican-style lager; Illuminating, a Bavarian-style hefeweizen; Stellar, a balanced India Pale Ale (IPA); Invincible, a bold coffee stout; and Heroic, crafted to honor the local U.S. Naval Base.

The brewery also serves an extensive menu of gourmet wraps and burgers using more than 80 percent of ingredients sourced locally. From the Barrio Burger with pepper jack cheese, fried chorizo and egg, to the Lavish BBQ Pork wrap with seasoned pork braised in the Immortal Dark IPA, and Onion Rings hand-dipped in Reckless Blonde tempura batter, the menu is infused with “Attitude.”
With a mission to keep the culture alive and well in Barrio Logan, owner Kurt Bach saw Attitude Brewing Company as an opportunity to create a bi-cultural craft brewery and eatery that can serve as a hub for the community.
“We are thrilled to open our doors in Barrio Logan be a part of this incredible neighborhood,” said Bach. “At Attitude, we’re invested in being a great neighbor. Everything from utilizing local produce, supporting San Diego fishermen and meat markets, to hiring employees within walking distance from the tasting room – we want to support our community in any way we can and for everyone to feel welcome here.”

The addition of Attitude Brewing Company has further established Mercado del Barrio as a rad spot for amazing cuisine and craft beer with Iron Fist Brewing, Mariscos el Pulpo, and three new restaurants opening this spring, Maggie’s Café, Dough Nations and Liberty Call Distilling.
