On the heels of Qualcomm Stadium flipping to San Diego County Credit Union Stadium, commonly known as SDCCU Stadium, San Diego’s largest outdoor concert venue will boast a new name / corporate sponsor for the next 10 years. The venue formerly known as Coors Amphitheatre, Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre, Sleep Train Amphitheatre, and most recently, Mattress Firm Amphitheatre, will now be known as North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre (effective immediately.)
“We are the naming rights sponsor, so everything associated with the amphitheater — including all the digital properties — will be turned over to the North Island name,” North Island Credit Union Senior Vice President of Marketing Jill Faucher told the San Diego Union Tribune.
Currently owned and operated by Live Nation, the amphitheatre features 9,468 seats and a 10,024 lawn capacity. Operating primarily in the spring, summer and fall months, the legendary Chula Vista venue currently doesn’t have any shows listed.
