They say that whatever you eat during the monthlong run of the San Diego County Fair won’t count against your diet. They lie. They lie so much, but it’s worth it.
More than a million people will start filing through the gates of the fair through July 4 — and if you want to be first — get in your car, because the gates open at 4 p.m. today.
“How Sweet It Is” is this year’s theme and organizers promises a bigger, better and better tasting fair. With more than 500 shopping vendors, live concerts every single day, carnival rides and games, exhibits, competitions and of course — those adorable farm animals — it is a heck of an experience.
Tickets are $12 to $19 and free for kids 5 and younger. Reserved seating concert prices vary. For more information, call (858) 755-1161 or visit sdfair.com.
