NOT Mexican Independence Day, Cinco de Mayo, this Saturday, is a day to commemorate Mexico’s unlikely victory over Napoleon III’s French forces during the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Needless to say, the day has morphed into a veritable drinking holiday where we table discussions of history (and cultural appropriation) to suck down toxic numbers of “margs” at local restaurants and bars — but, where can YEW find the best margaritas in San Diego?
