Best known as 1/2 of Atlanta hip-hop legends OutKast, rapper Big Boi (born Antwan André Patton) stops at the Observatory North Park, Thursday, January 18th, in support of his new solo release, Boomiverse.

The album is based on the Big Bang theory, and Big Boi says it captures his desire to “charter new territory,” he tells the Atlanta Black Star. “It’s like mining for gold. Like every day we’re looking for that new sound, that one bar, that melody for the hook, and once you put all those things together, you’ve got something new.”

With longtime collaborator Sleepy Brown by his side, Big Boi does in fact perform OutKast jams — with Sleepy handling André 3000’s parts.  Win tickets below.
