Surf art collectors and enthusiasts are headed to BiddingForGood.com for the Annual Holiday Surfboard Auction, a benefit for Surfer’s Healing, a 20-year non-profit whose soul mission is to enrich the lives of people living with autism via surf therapy.

Showcasing more than two dozen renowned artists, musicians, and surf industry giants, the boards are on display at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel through the end of the auction, Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 5 p.m. (PST)

This is your chance to purchase a piece of art, and/or new surfboard, while helping Surfer’s Healing continue to pursue their mission of having as many autistic children possible attend their surf camps.

Art Board by Alison Mosshart

Best known as the lead vocalist for the indie rock band The Kills, Alison Nicole Mosshart designed this 8’2″ fun gun shaped by legendary longboard champion Chris “Slick” Schlickenmeyer.

Art Board by Dana Louise Kirkpatrick

Featuring the iconic art from the limited edition “HIT PARADE” T-shirt and hooded sweatshirt, this Dana Louise Kirkpatrick piece, named Shhhhhhhh! I’m About to Defy You, references Bugs Bunny with the impactful text “the heart in his ragged chest was pounding, torn”, from Homer, The Iliad.

Art Board by Matt Maust, Cold War Kids 

Hang this up to be seen, bassist (and visual director) of Southern California-based band Cold War Kids, Matt Maust, designed this beauty of a gun.

Art Board by West Rubinstein

Recognized as one of the most prolific artists in the New York Graffiti scene throughout the 1980’s and 90’s, West Rubinstein, the great grandson of Russian-Jewish immigrants, designed this board.  The inscription, from Isaiah 41:10, reads “Al teerah kee eemekah ah Nee,” which translates to, “Do not be afraid, for I am with you.”

A 5’8” fish, this functioning board combines Guy’s artistic nature, and love for the ocean, with the art of shaping and kick-back, surfing lifestyle.

Robin Hiers, a Laguna Gallery of Contemporary Art artist, paints “beautiful people doing fun things.”  This beautiful person likes peace, love, and her champagne.
