“It’s a bird, it’s a plane…it’s a FLYING BURRITO?!?”
Australian Mexican fast food chain Guzman y Gomez has teamed up with Google’s “Project Wing” to deliver burritos via drone to a rural community in south-east Australia.
Together, Project Wing x Guzman y Gomez have built a custom kitchen at the drone test site — or, mothership — to try out the new delivery method.
“We needed to replicate the Guzman y Gomez kitchens and still deliver quality food in a remote area where our authentic Mexican menu could be prepared on site fresh daily,” the fast food chain said in a blog post.
They had us until they said “authentic Mexican menu.” Friends, you’re in Australia.
