When starting a brand, it’s about the logo.

A visual cornerstone, a company’s identity is expressed through its logo, which, along with the brand’s name, is one of the main things that makes a business memorable, or relevant.

According to wiki, the first trademarked logo was the Bass red triangle in 1876.

Other notable logos include, IBM by Paul Rand.

Coca-Cola, so insanely popular, identifiable in other languages, here written in Cyrillic.

and, of course…

Here at YEW!, we took our logo very seriously and commissioned action sports marketing vet Rob Molt and renowned artist Nate Reifke (@saltytimbers) to come up with a logo that best represented our brand. Here’s Molt:

At first we were pushing for subliminal messaging in the logo, like the naked couple on the Camel cigarette box. Or maybe something like the Illuminati reptile eye in the Taco Bell sign.

Needless to say, the boys went a different direction, but we couldn’t be more stoked with the results.

P.S. Yes, T-shirts, hats, and stickers have been ordered.
