It’s true, with 54,251,844 views and counting, the first video posted to YouTube, shot at the San Diego Zoo, features a distinct “YEW!” in the first seconds of the video.

Starring some high school kid in an oversized ski jacket talking about elephants and their “trunks” (wink, wink,) the video was uploaded to the video-sharing website April 23, 2005.

The raddest part, instead of counting the kid in, the person operating the hand-held camera chirps “YEW” — it really is YewTube!

Listen for yourself.
