Tesla, the innovative Palo Alto company that specializes in electric vehicles, lithium-ion battery energy storage, and solar panel manufacturing, has just entered the surf market with the addition of a Tesla Surfboard to their line-up.
Elon Musk surfs?!?
A collab between Tesla x Lost Surfboards’ Matt “Mayhem” Biolos, surfboard shaper for pro surfers, the limited edition Tesla Surfboard features “the same high-quality matte and gloss finishes used on all cars” says the website. Additionally, “the deck is reinforced with light-weight ‘Black Dart’ carbon fiber, inspired by the interiors in our cars, and featuring tonal logos in subtle contrast gloss.” Whatever that means — we want to know how wax isn’t going to melt off the deck??
According to the website, each 6’8″ Tesla Surfboard is custom made to order and only 200 will be produced. Priced at a whopping $1500 (sans fins,) please allow 2-10 weeks for production and delivery. Important to note, the Tesla Model S, X and 3 can comfortably accommodate this surfboard on either the inside or outside of the vehicle.
See yew at the shores, bruh.
